Launched in 2023, CKR Studios is an independent production studio creating original shows that explore faith, history, and culture with honesty and wonder.
We believe craft is a form of care, that depth should come without pretense, and beauty without fear. Our work ranges from contemplative video essays to whimsical puppet adventures, united by a shared commitment to curiosity, humanity, and meaning.
CKR is building a growing slate of original series while cultivating new voices through Spiral Lab, our creative home. We are committed to developing thoughtful stories and the people who tell them—expanding our team, our community, and our impact one project at a time.
Founded By
Jakie Sarmiento is a storyteller and studio founder who began as a graphic designer for indie rock bands and followed curiosity into audio engineering and long-form storytelling. Along the way, she learned how powerful media can be—not just to inform, but to form.
Today, she runs CKR Studios, creating original, curiosity-driven YouTube series like Spiral Season and Expedition: Archaeologian, and building Spiral Lab—a home for makers who care more about craft than clout.
She also loves road trips, analog anything, puppets, theology, and building spaces where people can learn and flourish.
